Vincent R. Volpe Jr. is our President and Chief Executive Officer and has served as a member of our board of directors since the acquisition in October 2004. Mr. Volpe has been with Dresser-Rand Company and its predecessor companies since 1981. He has held positions in Engineering, Marketing and Operations residing and working in various countries, including: Applications Engineer in Caracas, Venezuela; Vice President Dresser-Rand Japan in Tokyo, Japan; Vice President Marketing and Engineering Steam and Turbo Products; Executive Vice President European Operations in Le Havre, France; and President Dresser-Rand Europe in London, U.K. Mr. Volpe returned to Olean in January 1997 and became President of Dresser-Rand Company's Turbo Product Division, a position he held until September 2000. In April 1999, he assumed the additional role of Chief Operating Officer for Dresser-Rand Company, responsible for worldwide manufacturing, technology and supply chain management, serving in that position until September 2000. Mr. Volpe became President and Chief Executive Officer of Dresser-Rand Company in September 2000. He is proficient in five languages. Mr. Volpe earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a BA in German literature, both from Lehigh University.
Sammy Antoun
Vice President and General Manager, Middle East & N. Africa Operations
Sammy Antoun re-joined Dresser-Rand in December 2008 as Vice President and General Manager, Middle East and North Africa Operations. He is responsible for all Dresser-Rand activities in that region. Mr. Antoun spent 30 years with the company in a variety of positions and brings his unique understanding of the Company and its clients to this region. His most recent position with D-R was Executive Vice President, responsible for sales in Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Eurasia. Prior to that position, he served as the Executive V.P. for the former Compression Services Division located in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and also worked as the President of D-R's worldwide sales division based in Houston, Texas. In addition to assignments in the U.S., Mr. Antoun has lived and worked in France, Egypt, Tulsa, and the United Kingdom.
Mr. Antoun has a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Brno in the former Czechoslovakia.
Mark E. Baldwin
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Mark E. Baldwin was elected Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer on August 24, 2007. Prior to that, he served three years as the Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Veritas DGC Inc., a public energy service company. Other previous experience includes two years as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for NextiraOne, a voice and data products distribution company, and four years as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer for Pentacon Inc. Mr. Baldwin led Pentacon through an IPO in 1998 and the formation of the Board of Directors and senior leadership team. He also spent 17 years with Keystone International Inc. in a variety of finance and operations positions, including Treasurer, Chief Financial Officer and President of the Industrial Valves and Controls Group. Mr. Baldwin earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University, and an MBA from Tulane University.
Steve Brady
Chief Information Officer
Steve Brady has been Dresser-Rand's Chief Information Officer since December 14, 2008.
Mr. Brady has a diverse background in information technology and business systems implementations. Prior to working for Dresser-Rand, his most recent position was the Program Director responsible for the redesign and standardization of processes for the global supply chain management system at ConocoPhillips, an integrated energy company. His previous experience includes seven years as Management Information Systems (MIS) Manager in an engineer to order environment at TRW Electronic Products, a space and defense contractor, as well as the Chief Information Officer at National Oilwell, an oil services company engaged in oil and gas drilling and production, implementing their Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for their global distribution business, and as the director of consulting services implementing manufacturing and financial systems at a variety of large manufacturing and distribution companies. Mr. Brady has 25 years experience as an implementation project leader and programmer with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems that integrate manufacturing, finance, planning, supply chain and other administrative functions.
Mr. Brady received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado.
Raymond L. Carney
Vice President, Controller and Chief Accounting Officer
Raymond L. Carney has been Vice President, Controller and Chief Accounting Officer at Dresser-Rand since November 2008. Prior to that, he served for more than two years as Group Controller of Alcoa's Global Rolled Products division. From December 2002 to August 2006, Mr. Carney held financial leadership positions in Alcoa's corporate controllership group. He worked for Ernst & Young for 13 years in various leadership positions and was responsible for client projects including public filings, acquisitions, and audit engagements. Mr. Carney, a CPA, earned a B.S. in accounting from the Pennsylvania State University.
Jean-Francois Chevrier
Vice President , New Infrastructure Development
Jean-Francois Chevrier has been our Vice President, New Infrastructure Development since January 1st, 2009. Previously, Mr. Chevrier served as our Vice President and General Manager of North American Operations for Dresser-Rand since March 2007 and Vice President and General Manager, European Operations since October 2004. Mr. Chevrier has been with Dresser-Rand and its predecessor companies since 1990. From August 2000 to October 2004, Mr. Chevrier served as the Vice President & General Manager for European Operations in Le Havre, France, which included responsibility for our businesses and plants in Oberhausen, Germany, and Kongsberg, Norway. From March 1997 to July 2000, he held the position of Vice President & General Manager, French Operations. Additionally, he has held various other leadership positions including Operations Manager in Le Havre, France; Director, Special Projects in Olean, New York; and General Manager Turbo Products, Europe. Prior to joining Dresser-Rand, Mr. Chevrier held various leadership positions at a Peugeot subsidiary, specializing in military and aerospace hydraulic equipment. Mr. Chevrier earned a BSME from Tarbes University in France.
Bradford W. Dickson
Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer
Bradford W. (Brad) Dickson was appointed Vice-President and Chief Marketing Officer of the Company in June 2007. Mr. Dickson had previously been an Executive Vice President of the Company since January 1999, most recently as our Executive Vice-President New Equipment Worldwide since 2004. He was named a Corporate Officer of the Company in 2000. Mr. Dickson also carries oversight responsibility for Corporate Marketing and Communication Services as well as the Government Business Unit. He has over 30 years of experience in the global energy industry working with compressors and turbines for process, oil and gas applications, having been with Dresser-Rand Company and its predecessor companies since 1977. He has held numerous leadership positions in International Sales, Marketing, and Project Management for Dresser-Rand Company and its predecessors, including three years in Caracas, Venezuela as Managing Director, Venezuelan and Colombian Operations; seven years in Los Angeles as Key Accounts Manager; seven years as Sales Engineer working in the Overthrust Belt of Wyoming/Utah; and early in his career as International Marketing Manager in Houston for the former Southwest Industries oilfield compressor services division. He served as a Director on the Board of Paragon Engineering Services (now AMEC Paragon) from 2001-2004. Mr. Dickson earned a BS in Engineering from the University of Illinois and an MBA from the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business.
James A. Garman
Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer
Jim Garman was named Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer for Dresser-Rand in June 2009. In this position, he leads global Human Resources, Health, Safety and Environmental, and critical, cross-functional projects at the executive level. Mr. Garman directs the human capital strategies to enhance the growth of Dresser-Rand's organizational capability to attract, develop, and retain the best and brightest employees in our industry.
Prior to joining Dresser-Rand, Mr. Garman was Vice President, Human Resources for Jacobs Engineering's Infrastructure and Architecture sector. He held the position of Chief Human Resources Officer for Carter & Burgess until its acquisition by Jacobs Engineering. Before joining Carter & Burgess, Mr. Garman spent 15 years with the Northrop Grumman Corporation, Inc. (formerly TRW) where he held a variety of progressively responsible roles within the Human Resources function.
Mr. Garman earned a B.A. in Communication Arts from California Lutheran University and a M.S. in Human Resources Management and Development from Chapman University.
Nicoletta Giadrossi
Vice President and General Manager, Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Operations
Nicoletta Giadrossi has been Vice President & General Manager, EMEA Operations, located in Le Havre, France since January of 2009. Ms. Giadrossi is responsible for the Company's production and service operations in France, United Kingdom, Germany, Norway; and the Middle East. In addition, Ms. Giadrossi is responsible for all New Equipment and Aftermarket Sales and Support organizations serving Eastern and Western Europe, Scandinavia, Middle East, Africa, and Russia.
Before joining Dresser-Rand, she held several leadership positions in General Electric, most recently, General Manager of the downstream division within GE Oil & Gas, until 2005.
Ms. Giadrossi joined General Electric in 1995, where she led several business units in GE's Equipment Management division, including Chief Operating Officer for GE's European Equipment Management, and General Manager for GE's Fleet Services based in Italy.
Ms Giadrossi has seven years experience in strategic management consulting, with the Boston Consulting Group, and in the private equity industry, as an Operating Partner with a niche French firm.
Ms Giadrossi earned a Bachelor Degree in Mathematics and Economics from Yale University, and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
James R. Heid
Vice President, Business Solutions
Jim Heid is the Vice President of Global Business Solutions for Dresser-Rand Company. He was appointed in 2003, responsible for Alliances and Major Solution Activity Worldwide. In addition, he has responsibility for Latin America Sales, the Separable Business Unit Sales and Marketing and the Micro Turbine Business Unit.
Mr. Heid joined the Ingersoll-Rand Company in 1979 as a Sales Engineer. Jim has held positions in both Operations and Sales/Marketing for Dresser-Rand. In1986, he became responsible for the Western Region of Dresser-Rand Product Services that was responsible for Service Center and Field Service Operations, as well as sales activity for the Western U.S. and Canada. Then in 1992, he became Vice President of all Aftermarket Sales for the Western Hemisphere. In 1994, he was appointed Vice President of Sales for both Units and Aftermarket for the Eastern half of the United Sates and Mexico. In 1997, Jim was appointed to the position of VP Gulf South Region that included sales for Southern U.S. and Latin America, Product Services Operation and the D-R Controls SBU.
Mr. Heid graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Electrical Engineering and later graduated from the University of Houston Graduate Studies in Executive Development. Jim is a Marine Corp and Vietnam Veteran.
Dick Heusinkveld
Vice President and General Manager, Asia Pacific Operations
Dick G. Heusinkveld has been our Vice President and General Manager, Asia Pacific Operations since June 30, 2007. Mr. Heusinkveld has been with Dresser-Rand Group Inc and its predecessor companies since 1976. He started with Dresser-Rand as an application engineer in Toronto, Canada. During his career, he has held leadership roles in operations, sales, business development, marketing, and engineering. Mr. Heusinkveld was the General Manager of the separable packaging operation in Canada, and also opened the first D-R service center in Canada, serving as its General Manager. Other prior positions include gas engine project manager in Painted Post, New York; Canadian sales director for new equipment; and nine years in the European Served Area and Eurasia working out of the UK and the Czech Republic, where he was responsible for the company's activities in the former Soviet Union. He most recently held the position of Director of Power Recovery and Power Turbines for Product Services in Olean, New York.
Mr. Heusinkveld holds a BSME from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. He is a registered professional engineer in the provinces of Alberta and Ontario, Canada.
Mark F. Mai
Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary
Mark F. Mai joined Dresser-Rand in October 2007 as Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary. Prior to that Mr. Mai held various positions at Cooper Industries, an international manufacturing company, between 1991 and 2000 and 2003 and 2007. As Cooper's Associate General Counsel from 2003 until 2007, Mr. Mai led a team that handled the legal needs of Cooper's business operations and its active merger and acquisition strategy. As Cooper's Associate General Counsel, Litigation from 1999 to 2000, he managed Cooper's global litigation issues. From 2000 to 2003, Mr. Mai was a partner at the law firm of Thompson & Knight, LLP heading up the Corporate and Securities practice for its Austin office. He began his professional career in 1986 as an associate of Baker, Brown, Sharman & Parker, which later merged into Thompson & Knight.
Mr. Mai earned a BBA with a concentration in finance from the University of Notre Dame and a JD from the University of Texas.
Kenneth R. Marcia
Vice President, Worldwide Supply Chain and Process Innovation
Ken Marcia was appointed our Vice President Supply Chain Management & Process Innovation in January 2006. Prior to joining Dresser-Rand, Mr. Marcia held executive leadership positions within United Technologies Corporation. From March 1999 to December 2005, Mr. Marcia served as Director Supplier Development for United Technologies Corporation including its divisions; Carrier Corporation, Pratt & Whitney, Hamilton Sundstrand, Sikorsky, Otis, UTC Power, and UTC Fire & Security. Prior to this assignment Mr. Marcia held the following positions within the Hamilton Sundstrand division: Vice President of Purchasing, Director of Operations, Commercial Aircraft Products General Manager, Director of Environmental Control Systems, Quality Engineering Manager, and Chief of Manufacturing Engineering.
Mr. Marcia has spoken at numerous industry forums on Supply Chain and Lean including Purchasing Magazine's CPO Summit, the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) annual conference, the Connecticut Shingo Prize Conference, Supplier Excellence Alliance symposiums, and Business VoiceAmerica.
Mr. Marcia graduated cum laude with a BS in Mathematics from the University of Hartford. Additionally, he has twice been elected Board President of the Supplier Excellence Alliance (www.seaonline.org) , and served on the Board of the National Minority Supplier Development Council (www.nmsdc.com).
Luciano Mozzato
Executive Vice President, Services Worldwide
Luciano Mozzato has been our Executive Vice President, Services Worldwide, responsible for all Product Services including the Field Operations since January 5, 2009. Mr. Mozzato has held a variety of leadership positions in sales, operations, and the aftermarket business within United Technology's Otis Elevator division, the world's largest company in the manufacture, installation and service of elevators, escalators and moving walkways, including Vice President and General Manager of their Latin America business and Vice President and General Manager of their Italian subsidiary. In addition, Mr. Mozzato served as the Vice President of Global Supply Chain and Logistics Worldwide, and as the Italian subsidiary's Product Director, Director of Engineering, and Field Service Manager. He started his career as a mechanic and earned a diploma in electronic engineering from the ITI Institute in Italy.
Mr. Mozzato also holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Hartford University in the U.S.
Jesus Pacheco
Executive Vice President, New Equipment Worldwide
Jesus M. Pacheco was appointed Executive Vice President, New Equipment Worldwide in June of 2007. He is responsible for all company new equipment sales and client services worldwide. Mr. Pacheco has been with Dresser-Rand Company since 1990. He has held various leadership positions in Application Engineering, Extended Scope and Marketing for Dresser-Rand Company, including responsibilities as Regional Director for the former Soviet Union, based in London, UK, and Marketing Manager for the European Served Area (Europe, Eurasia, Africa and the Middle East) based at our manufacturing facility in Le Havre, France. From January 1999 to August 2000, Mr. Pacheco served as Vice President, Client Services for the Latin America Region. He assumed Client Services responsibilities for The Americas Region in August 2000, expanding them to include the European Served Area in July 2006. Mr. Pacheco has 25 years of experience in the global energy industry, including 8 years with a major oil and gas operator in Venezuela, working with compressors, turbines and compression facilities for process, oil and gas applications. Mr. Pacheco earned a BSE in Mechanical Engineering and a BS in Economics from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.
Christopher Rossi
Vice President, Technology and Business Development
Christopher Rossi has been our Vice President of Technology and Business Development for Dresser-Rand since January 1, 2009.
Mr. Rossi has been with Dresser-Rand and its predecessor companies since 1987. He has held various leadership positions within Dresser-Rand in the areas of Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, and Sales. From January 2007 to December 2008, Mr. Rossi was Executive Vice President Worldwide Product Services, responsible for worldwide aftermarket sales. Mr. Rossi served as Vice President and General Manager, North American Operations, responsible for all U.S. manufacturing operations and worldwide Development Engineering from October 2003 to December 2006.
Mr. Rossi earned a BSME from Virginia Tech and an MBA in Corporate Finance and Operations Management from the University of Rochester's Simon School of Business.
Robert J. Saltarelli
Vice President and Treasurer
Robert J. Saltarelli has been our Vice President and Treasurer since July 2005.
Just prior to joining Dresser-Rand, he served as Vice President and Treasurer at American Household, Inc. (formerly the Sunbeam and Coleman companies) since October 2003. Mr. Saltarelli has 30 years of experience in corporate finance, global capital markets, risk management and cash/banking treasury functions.
From 1976 to 1990, Mr. Saltarelli performed financial audit, planning and treasury roles, each with increasing responsibilities, at J.C. Penney Company, Inc.. Following his time at J.C. Penney, Mr. Saltarelli has held a variety of financial leadership positions including: Assistant Treasurer at Melville Corp. from 1990 to 1992; Director of Capital Markets and Director of International Finance at W.R. Grace & Co. from 1992 to 1995; Director of International and Corporate Finance at Tupperware Corporation from 1996 to 1997; Treasurer at Breed Technologies, Inc. from 1997 to 1999 and again from 2000 to 2003; and also Vice President and Treasurer at Sunterra Corporation from 1999 to 2000
Mr. Saltarelli obtained a BA in accounting from Seattle University and his MBA from Columbia University, New York. He is accredited as a Certified Public Accounting (CPA) and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) passing both exams.
Peter T. Salvatore
Vice President and General Manager, Worldwide Field Operations
Peter Salvatore has been our Vice President and General Manger of Worldwide Field Operations since the acquisition in October 2004. Mr. Salvatore has been with Dresser-Rand since 1989. Prior to that time, he held various management positions with General Electric and Textron. At Dresser-Rand Mr. Salvatore has held leadership positions in materials management, production, aftermarket parts, field services and repair operations. Mr. Salvatore was Vice President of Steam Turbine Aftermarket from 1994-1998. In 1998 he became Vice President of Product Services until 2001. In 2001 he became Vice President of Worldwide Field Services until 2004 where he now is Vice President and General Manager Worldwide Field operations with responsibility for all Field Services, Repair Centers, Field Solutions and Client Training worldwide. Mr. Salvatore earned a BS in Math and Physics from Siena College and an MS in Industrial Administration from Union College's School of Management.
Jerome T. Walker
Vice President and General Manager, Americas and Asia Pacific Operations
Jerry Walker has been our Vice President and General Manager, Americas and Asia Pacific Operations for Dresser-Rand Group Inc. since January 1, 2009.
Prior to joining Dresser-Rand, Mr. Walker held various senior leadership roles at Honeywell International is a diversified technology and manufacturing company, between 1993 and 2008. His most recent position was Vice President of Global Operations from 2005 2008 where he led all aspects of Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Project Operations for Honeywell's global industrial automation and control business. Prior to that, he led Honeywell's Europe, Middle East and Africa industrial business unit for three years as Vice President and General Manager, based in Brussels, Belgium. He also served as Vice President of Sales, Vice President of Business Development and Director of Marketing at Honeywell. He started his career in operations at the BP (formerly Amoco) Whiting Refinery outside Chicago and also worked in Product Marketing at Emerson Electric.
Mr. Walker has a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
