Each year, the Dresser-Rand business recognizes exceptional accomplishments and performance by an employee or team of employees.
Award winners are selected based on the degree to which they overcome obstacles to achieve results, generate enthusiasm and teamwork, and go above and beyond their job responsibilities. Candidates for the 2017 Dresser-Rand Business Awards were nominated in the following categories: safety; exceptional client service; operational excellence; business growth; innovation, product & digitalization; and community service.
The presentation of the Dresser-Rand Business Award 2017 for Safety went to the E-Houses and Modules (EHM) team that diligently practiced disciplined processes to improve safety performance. The EHM team operates and manages a yard used to design and fabricate large modules. Last year, the team worked on four major projects to supply a total of 43 E-Houses, including 29 for one of the biggest LNG plants in the world. In a project this massive, where several thousand people are working daily, it is extremely challenging to ensure everyone returns home each day in the same condition they arrived at work. But the team achieved more than 16 million safe hours last year without injury or harm to any employees, contractors, workers, or client personnel in the yard.
The team proudly reached this goal by making safety a habit, not a task and owned the responsibility to be safe.
